The Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) has won a landslide victory in the Bolivian elections. The elections were held on October 18, and were the first elections in the country since former president Evo Morales was ousted from power last year in a coup. We spoke to Juan Carlos Pinto Quintanilla, sociologist and former director of Citizen Strengthening of the Vice-Presidency of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, about this victory and the challenges that lie ahead for this government.
